Some Michigan Republican members of Congress on Saturday night wholeheartedly endorsed President Trump’s decision to bomb Iran’s nuclear sites, while Democratic U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib strongly condemned the action.
“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” Trump said in a social media post Saturday night. “All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home.”
Most Michigan Democratic members of Congress remained silent on social media Saturday night, at least prior to President Trump’s speech. Some Republican members of Congress also refrained from commenting online. (Update: Below Michigan Democrats, other than Tlaib, on Sunday started to weigh in. GOP Congressman John James posted a video late Saturday night after Trump spoke to the nation.)

The President's decisive action against Iran's nuclear ambitions is fully justified. The Maximum Pressure Act (H.R. 2570) codifies a no-tolerance policy for Tehran's enrichment violations and terror sponsorship. Section 409 mandates annual assessments of Iran's uranium…

As someone who served in Iraq and saw up close the loss of blood and treasure over 20 years, I don’t want to be embroiled in another drawn out conflict, and neither do the American people.
