Your cardiologist may not rejoice. But Dutch Girl Donuts fans will.

The Detroit shop closed in 2021 in the midst of the pandemic. It was purchased by third-generation funeral director Paddy Lynch, who opened it in May. In its previous incarnation, it operated 24-hours a day, but Lynch had more limited hours.

The Detroit News reports that starting next week the shop at 19000 Woodward will offer 24-hour service, Tuesday-Sunday, or more specifically, 6 a.m. Tuesdays until 6 p.m. Sundays. It will be closed on Mondays.

"Going back to 24-hour service is our way of honoring the past and strengthening our connection with the community,"  Lynch tells the News. "We're excited to be there for our customers, whether they're early risers or night owls, offering the same high-quality, joy-inducing doughnuts Dutch Girl has always been known for."
